CANOEING IN VORMSI
Is the canoe trip suitable for beginners? Yes. At the beginning of the trip, we will give you a paddling technique and safety briefing, so you don't need to have previous canoeing experience. It's good if you have been on any kind of a small boat before.
How physically demanding is the trip? The trip is at a leisurely pace and focuses on enjoying nature and discovering the maritime side of Vormsi, not on athletic effort. The route is chosen according to the weather conditions and the group's ability.
Can children participate?
Yes, the trip is also suitable for families with children. Please contact us before booking and we can make arrangements.
How long is the trip?
The canoe trip lasts about 3–4 hours. The sunset trip is slightly shorter (2–3 hours).
Does the trip take place in all weather conditions? The trip takes place in suitable weather conditions. If the weather or wind does not allow you to go to sea safely, we will agree on a new time or refund the participation fee.
How big is the group?
I prefer small groups so that everyone has a pleasant and direct experience and has time to tell and answer stories.
How big a group can I order a private trip for? Up to 10 people.
Where will we go on the trip? The route depends on the weather and water level. We usually paddle between the islets of Hullo Bay, in shallow coastal waters and places that larger vessels cannot reach. Will you see seals on the trip?
Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. Meeting seals depends on the weather and luck. However, we almost always see diverse birdlife and beautiful coastal scenery.
